No School + Beautiful Weather = Family Fun Day
The girls were out of school today so we spent the day out at my grandparents house.
(I am not sure why Drew has a frown on his face in this picture)

They had fun making caramel apples.

My mom brought pumpkins for them to paint.

She didn't want Drew to be left out, so she brought him one too. However, he was a mess after this. I just hosed him off and he thought that was more fun. So he just played in the water. Good thing it was 85 today!

beautiful pumpkins

This shirt really sums up Drew these days! He is into everything. It really is a good thing he is sooo cute and that we really love him!

Flashback

Last time at "bunco" group it somehow got brought about Andy and his hair. They asked what his natural color really was. He has had all different colors. There was jet black, there was red and Emme's favorite-platinum blonde (like hers) We really never know what he will come home with.

Then I mentioned I had pictures of him with his long hair and they asked for me to post them.

So here it is...

This is what he looked like when I very first met him. It was probably 15 years ago.

This is a baby picture I found while looking for the others. Drew looks so much like him.

FALL
We are really a summer kind of family, however, once we got over the fact that summer is really over, we have started to enjoy the beginning of fall. The girls got out of school early yesterday and once we picked Drew up from Mothers Day Out we decided it would be a perfect day to use the pumpkin cake pan.
Counting down until it was her turn to mix!
Finally!
Isn't this really the best part of baking a cake?!
They are taking this job very seriously.

And the winner is....

Maddison Rose

Maddi came home Friday with great news that she had won Student Council for her homeroom class. Last year she had wanted this but she didn't have enough votes. It was so sad. She takes thing that so hard. (who wouldn't?) She came home crying and cried all afternoon. It was hard on all of us to see her like that. However, that didn't deter her this year. She told us at the beginning of the year she was going to go for it again and on Friday they voted and she won. She was so excited.

We are so proud of her and her determination.

We love you Maddi!

hAVIN' fUN tURNIN' oNE!

We had a carnival party for Drew on his birthday, but he had to give his papa hugs before he started partying!

He got to jump with his nana and his sissy!Alicia did face painting and even my Granddaddy got into the festivities and got a #1 painted on his face.Drew enjoying nana's sno-cone with her!
Enjoying his goldfish.
Pirate Drew
This was the face he kept doing all night. It was so cute. He did this face when he came downstairs and the house was decorated and when he went outside and saw everything.
He is all boy but he has such a sweet side to him. He is giving out some birthday hugs. Every boy needs to end his party enjoying some black licorice.

Happy Birthday Baby Boy!

My baby boy is ONE today. It goes by so fast!

We say all the time we don't know what we did without Drew in our family. He just completes it. He has such a funny personality already. He is definitely all boy but he has such a sweet spirit to him. I love him!

I (Heart) my Bella!

This is how Drew greets Bella everytime he sees her. It is so cute! When she comes in, he stops whatever he is doing and goes and gives her the biggest hug and kiss. He acts like he hasn't seen her in ages and in reality it maybe has been a day (maybe two!)

Sweet Prayers

So Drew had his first day at Mothers Day Out on Tuesday and as you may know I was not holding my breath that he would stay all day. In fact, I really didn't think he would make it past an hour-1 1/2 hours tops! However, I am pleased to report, he did make it all day!! It is completely shocking given that he is attached to my leg-literally!
So when the girls got out of school they came running out asking if he made it all day. They were a little surprised also. Later on Emme told me that on their way to school (their dad takes them) that they had prayed for Drew to make it all day. She also said that she had prayed for him while she was at school but she had to do it in the bathroom because that was the only private place she could pray. I love that my girls have such a sweet heart that they found it important to pray for something as small as Drew going to school all day!

On another note, a funny story about Maddi and Emme:
I was lying in bed this weekend because I had gotten sick and they come in with a piece of paper with a phone number on it, the phone and my credit card. They had seen an infomercial for something they had wanted! Who knows what it was but it was something they thought they just had to have. I will definitely have to watch for bill for unknown charges because they usually pause the tv and make me come in there and see something they think that we cannot live without.
