Not that great of a picture but they were all looking the same direction.

Happy, Happy!
This is what Drew walks around saying especially now that his sisters are home for the summer!
Maddi got honor roll again this nine weeks and she also received the Citizenship Award. This is a big deal each teacher picks one student and this is her 2nd year to receive this is so we are very proud of her.
Emme has done great this year as well. We are really proud of both of them and how hard they work.
It is officially summer for us now so we kicked it off by taking the kids out to Andy Alligators on Friday night.

Maddi takes miniature golf very seriously!

This is what summer is all about for us.
Popsicles and swimming!!!

Drew has no fear this year. He jumps in the pool from the side and he can't get out fast enough to jump right back in. It is so funny!

Goggle Girl is Back!
It is that time again for us. When we spend our days out by the pool. I know, I lead a rough life:)
Emme had lost her favorite goggles at the beach last year so she was very excited when we saw the exact pair at Target this year. She takes her goggles very seriously! I am really not joking.

Drew and his rough life! His ma-ma (maddi) got him a popsicle and pulled him around in the raft.

All 3 of the kids enjoying their first day of swimming. Unfortunately we have a few more days of school left then we can really enjoy our summer!

and this is how we spend our nights...out in the front yard in the wagon or on bikes and scooters. Emme is taking Drew on a "tour". The things this girl comes up with to play cracks me up but hey it keeps her busy!
By the way, I found this wagon at a garage sale for $5. I have also found a sand table for $5 and a kids wooden picnic table for $8. I am loving garage sales right now and Drew is benefiting from it greatly!

Happy Summer!

arts festival &
boys will be boys??!!
On Friday night we met Alicia and her girls at the arts festival.

This is what kept Drew busy while we finished eating. He was soaking wet at the end.

We had a great time!
Then Saturday we spent the whole day outside cleaning and enjoying the beautiful day(well except for the wind). Then Drew had a little accident. He got a little too much speed going down the driveway on his riding toy and got to the bottom and flipped over. He cried for a few minutes and then was pulling his toy back out and was going to get back on it.

He has scratches from his forehead to his hands:(

My poor baby boy!

This is his new trick he does in my bathroom while I am doing his hair.
Why? I don't know but he thinks it is hysterical.

According to Emme, today is the best day ever!
Today she learned to how to ride her bike without the traing wheels that have been off for awhile now. Yes, she maybe should have already been doing this, but Emme is one that has to learn on her own timetable. We tried months ago to teach her but were told that we were way too harsh! She had been practicing by herself by the curb but tonight she got more serious about it and within 2 minutes (literally) she was riding up and down the street by herself.

She even mastered the cul-de-sac.

At this point in the evening she had not been able to maneuver around things easily. This is her realizing that her brother was in the line of target. Somehow she was able to miss him and not crash, she was very excited about this! (as were we!)

She was so proud of herself. It was so cute to hear her riding up and down the street giggling to herself about how much fun she was having.

Easter 2009

We started the weekend out by surprising the girls' and taking them to see The Hannah Montanna Movie. They were very excited. We dropped Drew off with Papa and Nana and headed to bricktown. It was so cute to look over during the movie and see them grinning from ear to ear. Then we went and ate and got some ice cream. The whole night they kept saying that they missed Drew but that they were enjoying the night being so quiet and calm. I told them they shouldn't feel too sorry for their brother, he had his nana and papa to himself. They didn't disappoint, they took him to Braum's and got him a banana split

Then we got up early Saturday morning and went an egg hunt at The Greens'.

Emme got to go first.
then Maddi's turn

Then Drew.

For some reason Drew's age group was last. He wasn't quite sure why his dad would not put him down with all those eggs around.

But in the end, he was very excited with what he got!

Then it was off to my aunt and uncle's for a birthday/Easter celebration.

They got to do another egg hunt!
Maddi is so excited about whatever she got!

there are always too many eggs at this egg hunt!

Drew was done after he found a couple of eggs (which included a soccer ball egg). He knew what was in them and was content to just sit down and eat his candy.

They always have so much fun out there. There is a zip line that they love doing. It is so fun to watch them except when Maddi went flying off at the end and took a little longer than usual to get up. Minor scare but she was ok!

Drew didn't understand why their dogs would not take the toy he was trying to give them.
exhausted!

Then it was off to my Grandma's and Granddad's for lunch on Sunday.

finally a picture of all 3 of the kids looking at the camera
(well, almost)

at least he isn't trying to get down like he was in most of them!

We hope you had a great Easter weekend and remember the real reason that we celebrate Easter, that Jesus died and rose again for us!

Weekend Fun
We met up with Alicia and her girls' on Saturday for an Easter egg hunt. Drew wasn't sure about the Easter bunny so his sis had to hold him. He felt a little better with his Emme. He now is obessed with saying her name. It is so cute and she loves hearing it.

Emme and her "ears".

Drew checking out his loot. He figured out what to do quickly.

The line up!
(minus Maddi-she was at a birthday party)
Alexis, Emme, Bella and Drew

This is Drew wondering why there was a basketball goal and a basketball was nowhere to be found. He is a little crazy about his basketball. He is constantly playing some sort of ball right now. Something very different at our house.

We hope you had a great weekend and really enjoy this week leading up to Easter Sunday.

Spring Break
Last week was spring break for the girls and Drew and luckily we had a beautiful beginning of the week!
We love this time of year. This year Drew loves going outside to play and blowing bubbles (his favorite).
We started out the week by staying at home and relaxing-the girls played with some neighborhood kids all afternoon. Then we went to the park and had a picnic the next day (along with everyone else).

Finally their cousins were back in town and we met up with them at the skating rink. That was so fun to watch them try to skate and actually they did really good.
Thursday morning we left for Tulsa to hang out for a couple of days.
We visited a museum.
This was Drew's favorite part-when he could just run in the gardens!

All 3 of them relaxing in the hotel room.

This was Emme's favorite part of the trip-swimming!!

We also met up with Bill and Cami Hulse and their family. That was so much fun to hang out with them. All of the kids played so great together. Even Drew took to all of them. At one point Drew was attacking Bill on the floor and loved him. It was so cute.
We hope everyone had a great Spring Break! Now back to reality...school, gym, grocery store. We all are struggling today
